This family maternity session at Chester Frost Park in Hixson, TN was such a sweet mix of real-life moments and genuine connection. The soft golden light, river views, and natural setting made it the perfect place to capture this season.
There’s something extra special about maternity sessions when there’s already a little one involved, and this one was such a beautiful blend of connection, patience, and real moments.
We met at Chester Frost Park during golden hour, with the softest light filtering through the trees and the river in the background. It gave us the most beautiful, natural setting to document this season for the Keiscome family.
Like a lot of sessions with toddlers, things didn’t go perfectly, and honestly, that’s part of what made it so meaningful. Their little girl was up past bedtime and had a bit of a tough moment at first, but dad stepped in so we could grab some quiet, peaceful shots of mom. Those ended up being some of my favorites. She looked so beautiful in that green dress, surrounded by golden light, just soaking in this season before baby arrives.
Once things settled, we got into the sweetest rhythm. Some of the most special moments came from mom holding her daughter close, with lots of cuddles, laughter, and the cutest little butterfly kisses. You could really see how much their daughter looks like her too, a true little mini-me, which made those moments even more meaningful.
These are the kinds of sessions I love most. The ones that aren’t perfectly polished, but are full of real connection, patience, and love. Those in-between moments always end up meaning the most.
