This maternity session at Fox Mountain Farm in Rising Fawn, GA, just outside Chattanooga, TN was such a beautiful way to capture this season. The wildflowers, rolling hills, and soft evening light made it the perfect setting for relaxed, natural maternity photos.
This session with Itzayana and Leo was such a peaceful, beautiful evening. They’re expecting their first baby, a little boy, and Fox Mountain Farm in Rising Fawn, GA was the perfect place to capture this season for them.
We had the entire place to ourselves for an after-hours private session, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. When Itzayana first reached out, she sent me some inspiration photos of wildflowers and rolling hills, and I think we found the perfect match. Wildflowers stretched in every direction, with so many unique spots to explore. Rolling hills, open fields, and rows of blooms gave us a ton of variety. Itzayana wore a two-piece dress that showed off her bump in such a natural, elegant way. She looked truly radiant.
One of my favorite parts of this location is the experience that comes with it. The owner of the farm welcomed us and offered to drive us around the property in his side-by-side, wherever we wanted to go. It felt like our own private tour and made everything so easy, especially for a mama-to-be or for anyone simply dressed up for photos. We were able to cover a lot of ground and take full advantage of all the scenery without worrying about going on a full-blown hike.
We planned the session for golden hour, but because of the way the land sits, the sun dipped behind the hills a bit earlier than expected. What we got instead was the most gorgeous soft light, with a little bit of that moody blue tone that felt calm and dreamy. It was warm, but in that slow, summer evening kind of way that makes you want to linger, which is just what we did.
When we finished taking pictures, the owner brought out each of us a pair of scissors and a bucket and told us to pick some flowers to take home. It was the sweetest surprise and the perfect way to end such a peaceful session.
I’m sure these two are going to be amazing parents, and that baby boy will be so loved. I’m so thankful I got to document this part of their story.
